I hold a Ph.D. in philosophy from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. My philosophical interests span philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and ethics, across Chinese, Indian, and Western traditions. Methodologically, I'm committed to a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary approach, utilizing multiple textual traditions and empirical studies. My current research centers on the interactions between imagination and self: how different aspects of the self manifest in imagination, how imagination shapes the self, and whether we should be morally evaluated for our imaginative activities. I've taught at Smith College, City College of New York, New York University, and the Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Nepal.
